TESTS & RESULTS

If you have recently attended the surgery for a blood test, you will be contacted by the surgery should there be a need.

However if you wish to view your recent blood test results why not download the NHS app (available free from the IOS store of the Google Play Store) register and once live you will have access to all of your recent test information.

In the rare instance you do require further information about a specific test result please complete a Anima request

Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.

When you take your test you will be told how long it will be before the results are returned to the practice.

It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if your are advised to do so. Our reception/admin staff can state if the test is marked as 'normal' by our clinicians but cannot advise you on the results or discuss abnormal results as they are not clinically trained to do so.
